Why I Built This

I hear it all the time from business owners around here — “AI? I don’t need that.” Or “I can already do that.” Or “I don’t have time for that.” Or it’s just too complicated. I get it. That’s exactly why I built Marvel Mirror the way I did.

I’ve been in IT since 2009 — owned my own infrastructure businesses and spent years as a senior infrastructure engineer in the corporate world. But I’ll be honest with you: I struggle with paperwork. Reading through a pile of documents, writing emails, drafting reports, pulling out the details that matter, keeping everything straight? That’s a real challenge for me. I’m constantly digging things out and looking stuff up. I even try to stay organized, but I kept hitting a wall. I needed something I could just ask questions to.

When I discovered AI could do that, it forever changed the way I work and expanded opportunities that were out of reach before. But I also knew I wasn’t about to upload my private stuff to somebody else’s server. That information shouldn’t be floating around out there.

I grew up in Griggsville and I’m based in Pittsfield now — small towns, Pike County. I’ve worked for businesses around here, and I noticed an opportunity to help people with something genuinely useful and life changing. It’s in my nature to help people advance and do it with kindness. I want to elevate the people I work with. I’m determined to bring value and make people successful. It’s what makes me happy. That’s not a sales pitch — it’s just how I’m wired.

And I know some folks worry that AI takes jobs. It doesn’t. It’s a tool — like when computers came along, or the internet. The person doing the work is still the person doing the work. They’re just faster and they catch more. A new tool doesn’t make the person using it less relevant — it makes them more valuable. The businesses that refused to use computers and the internet when those first came out? They didn’t do so well. This is that same moment, and I’d rather help people be ready for it than see anyone get left behind.
